Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking Physician Liaison to join our innovative team with the mission of Fighting Blindness For The World To See. This position will be responsible for
serving as a representative of Retina Consultants of Texas, maintaining our existing referring provider relationships, cultivating new business opportunities and executing a multitude of business initiatives. This role will report to The Administrative Business Office.
Candidates must be able to meet the need of providers, and support the Marketing Department hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Retina Consultants of Texas is the largest and most respected retina-only ophthalmology practice in the United States. Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with the marketing team to increase visibility of services and increase referrals by strategically targeting referral sources
- Analyze data to determine opportunities for potential growth
- Problem solving to maintain healthy referral relationships
- Organizing a plan with adequate research prior to visiting referring providers in the field
- Promote and engage providers in our continuing education events
- Promote RCTX technologies to improve communication with referral sources
- Distributing branded materials to increase brand awareness
- Provide educational handouts and resources to improve patient education
- Promote RCA Research opportunities
- Monitor competition and gather feedback from referral sources
- Thoroughly document and report visits on a weekly basis
- Other administrative tasks such as mileage, reporting and expenses
Skills/Competencies:
- Knowledge of the retina/ophthalmology market and basic medical terminology
- Strong strategic thinking, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum three years outside healthcare service sales experience
- Proven sales and marketing track record
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to drive to multiple locations on a daily/weekly basis
- Ability to walk through facilities to meet physician and staff
- Ability to lift and carry marketing material and company laptop
